CA's Best Head to Seattle, Greensboro for National Competition

New Balance Nationals Outdoor: California Preview

A handful of California's best will be traveling East instead of North, heading to Greensboro, NC for New Balance Nationals Outdoor. Cerah Moren will make her third consecutive appearance there to throw the Javelin, and her PR of 151' from 2015 could put her on the podium if she can recapture that form. Jumpers Yinka Braima (LJ) and Dominique Ruotolo (LJ & TJ) will work the NC A&T runways that are famed for producing so many stellar performances in the past, including the national record in the long jump.

The bulk of California's participants will be in the distance races. Kiley McCarthy will battle a strong field in the 800, as she looks to break the 2:10 barrier. Robert Miranda crossed the country to compete in Friday night's 5000, while Sydney Vandegrift will be in Saturday's Two Mile. Finally, Tesoro's Christian Wehrli will be running in the 2000 Steeplechase, where he has a PR of 6:33 - but he hopes to drop that down by quite a bit this weekend!
