Jazmyne Scott is one of several athletes from the southernmost section that have a real chance to contend at the state meet.
One of the more underrated sections will crown champions and determine state meet advancers tomorrow at Mt. Carmel, and it will be worth the price of admission! In particular, the distance races should produce several athletes that can contend in Clovis, and there is talent across the board, including some extremely deep and competitive fields. Three athletes move on from every event, and in many cases (as you will see on the following slides) the top three are not clear at all coming into the event. That makes this one of the most competitive sections to emerge from, and that also means those who do advance will be well-honed for the state meet.
