Cooper Teare, Rachel Baxter Shine in Boise

Formerly known as the Jacksons Invitational and New Balance West, Boise's premier indoor invitational is now New Balance Boise Indoor. Whatever it's called, though, the meet has always attracted some top California talent, and this year was no exception. Cooper Teare led the way, running 4:15.13 US #13 for the full mile - and beating all the collegians in the race except one! Rachel Baxter went one better, easily winning the pole vault over a mixed field of college and high school jumpers, while improving to 13' 5.25" US #3 for the season. Lauren Rain Williams put in her first appearance of the indoor season, running 7.68 for the 60 Dash while winning easily over the other high school sprinters. In the boys' Two Mile, Evert Silva ran 9:29.93, finishing 2nd.

In other action from Boise, Erik Ebert (Lodi) ran 51.49 for the 400, and Mission Viejo teammates Ryan Kennedy (21' 7.75" long jump) and Quinn Williams (8.31 for 60H) also competed well.
