Last year's state meet final resulted in two very fast times and a very controversial finish. Mecca McGlaston Dublin (NCS) was the defending champion and despite running must faster than the previous season, she finished 2nd to Jasmyne Graham E. Roosevelt (SS) following contact after the final hurdle. McGlaston is back for a 2nd state championship this year but she has been slowed by an injury. Kaylah Robinson El Cerrito (NCS) won the NCS title with a CA #1 13.45. Jurnee Woodward Vacaville (SJS) has the 2nd fastest time in the state and breezed through her section final unchallenged. Tara Davis Agoura (SS) won the SS Masters Meet with a season best 13.62 and has a lifetime best 13.48 from last year's state trials.
