Malibu junior Claudia Lane essentially made her season debut at the Stanford Invitational, running away from the field to win the 3200m in 10:24.72, which is No. 3 in CA and No. 4 U.S. behind Great Oak soph Tori Gaitan's national-leading 10:18.80 put down March 24 at Azusa. Mission Viejo junior Kelli Hines was second to Lane at Stanford in 10:40.66 and Healdsburgh (NC) junior Gabrielle Peterson was third in 10:46.43. None of the times was a PR.
