Virtual Meets are arguably the most advanced of our three fundamental types of rankings (although there are some additional tricks the MileSplit staff ca access that are even more unique). They can be created by Insiders at any time, using existing groups of schools (leagues, divisions, sections) or fully customized lists determined by the user. Virtual Meets have both individual and team scoring - they take the top performance from every runner on every selected team, and then score them like a single, giant meet. That means you can include individuals from teams that do not have 5 scorers
