Bronco Speed Festival 2024

2023 BRONCO SPEED FESTIVAL

The 2023 Bronco Invitational will be held on Saturday, April 1 at Bella Vista High School site of the 2023 Sac Joaquin Section Division II Prelims and Finals.  To ensure that the meet stays a manageable size, the number of schools entering will be limited to approximately Thirty-Five (35), determined on a "first-come, first-served" basis.

We will be running our meet in conjunction with the Granite Bay Field Festival which will take place Friday, March 31 at Granite Bay High School.  We hope that you will take advantage of this unique partnership and take your field athletes to Granite Bay on Friday evening and your sprinters and hurdles to Bella Vista on Saturday.  We feel that this format will give schools the opportunity for more of your athletes to compete in an invitational meet format.

New Meet Format

1. There will be two (2) athlete classifications - Girls and Boys.
2. Runners will be seeded into heats based on ability not grade in school. Boys' hurdles will have two heights for the 110 (36 and 39 inches) and 300 hurdles (33 and 36 inches).  We generally feel that the lower boys' heights should be reserved for the 9^th and 10^th With that said, coaches should choose the appropriate hurdle height for their athletes when entering them.
3. In both classifications we will be running multiple heats of the 100 meters, 200 meters, 400 meters, Girls 100 hurdles (33 inch), Boys 110 hurdles (36 inch), Boys 110 hurdles (39 inch), Girls 300 hurdles (30 inch), Boys 300 hurdles (33 inch), Boys 300 hurdles (36 inch), 4 x 100 relay, 4 x 400 relay.
4. Each school will be allowed unlimited entries in all events. You will need to monitor your own entry fee as we will not be capping your final team fee and if you don't pay attention the fees can get quite large.
5. All races will be electronically timed (Finish Lynx). When possible, we will be running with the wind.
6. There will be a snack bar available.

The top six in each event will receive medals.
