Friday, September 11, 2009 North Forebay State Recreation Area, Oroville, California
The 6th Annual Las Plumas High School Cross Country Invitational will be held on Friday, September 11, 2009. The race site is the North Forebay State Recreation Area off Highway 70 at the Garden Drive exit about 2 miles north of the town of Oroville.
The race start time/distances are as follows:
3:00-j.v. girls-2.2
3:30-j.v. boys-2.2
4:00-Varsity girls-3.0
4:45-Varsity boys-3.0
The North Forebay State Recreation Area is also the home course of Chico State and Butte Community College. There is 100% spectator viewing. The course is made up of some asphalt, but mainly trail with a .5 hill. There is a sandy beach for swimming after the race. We will also have a free barbeque for all runners and coaches ongoing during the meet for runners after their particular race. Awards will be the top 20 in each race and will be handed out as they finish.
