The Oakland Relays had the nation's best triple jump marks in all-conditions for both boys and girls with Moreau Catholic senior Allita Boyd at 41'7.50" as the first girl over 41 feet this season, while Deer Valley senior Hammed Suleman at 51'2" is the first over 50 feet in the country for boys. No wind reading either to become official US #1's, but still impressive marks in the first weekend of April. Boyd, a three-sport star athlete, is the returning USATF Junior Nationals champion in the triple jump, and one of the nation's top returnees with her 43'1" wind aided mark in last June's victory at the Junior Nationals. At the Oakland Relays, Boyd also won the triple jump with a US #6 mark of 19'6.50". Suleman also had a stellar double in the jumps with 23'3.50" mark in the long jump. Suleman is ranked #8 in the nation currently in the event with his 24'1" season best last weekend at the Deer Valley Invitational.
