CIF-San Diego Section Open Championships
Saturday, June 19
At University City HS
Field Events at 3:30 PM / Track Events at 5 PM
QUALIFYING DIVISIONAL MEETS INTO OPEN CHAMPIONSHIPS
Each division will receive one (1) automatic entry (The divisional champion in each event). The remaining spots will be awarded to the next best 6 marks from among the three division meets held June 12. If a divisional champion scratches from the Open Championship, that spot will be filled by the next best mark from among the three divisions.
If a tie exists for the ninth spot the following will decide the ninth competitor:
Running events: Times recorded to the 1000th of a second will break the tie.
Horizontal events: The second-best mark will break the tie.
Vertical events: The miss rule will be applied to break the tie(s). If after using the miss rule, a tie still remains, up to 12 athletes may qualify.
No individuals may be listed in more than four individual events.
No school may enter more than one relay team per event.
ADMISSION
Each boys and girls team participating in the Open Championship will be given participant wristbands equal to the number of qualifiers plus six coaches. Participants: All qualified athletes and coaches will be admitted by wristbands through the participants gates. Wristbands for participants and coaches will be available at the participants gate starting at 2:00 p.m. for the San Diego Section Open Finals.
COACHES WILL NOT BE PERMITTED IN THE COMPETITION AREA UNLESS CALLED BY MEET MANAGEMENT. VIOLATION MAY RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION OF ATHLETE(S) OR TEAMS.
Spectators: In accordance with current CDPH guidelines, spectators at outdoor venues are permitted up to 66% of the venues capacity. Each student-athlete participating in the CIF SDS Premlims & Finals will be permitted to purchase four (4) spectator tickets. Paperless tickets will be made available through San Diego Section Partner: GoFan All spectators must purchase a general admission ticket.
Ticket Prices Adult (18 and above) - $10.00 Student (5-18)/Senior (60 and above) - $5.00
