Clovis West freshman Sam Dresick ran a 9:56.11 personal best to win the seeded boys 3200m at the West Coast Relays. His time ranks No. 5 in the state among boys in the 2024 class.
Takiya Cenci, a junior at Clovis North, ran state-leading PRs in the 200m (24.32) and 400m (54.75) and also anchored the 4x400m relay to a state-best 3:52.05. Her 400m time is a school record.
Senior Sierra Burror of Bishop Union High headed to Cornell University posted a 10:51.29 PR for 3200m to place second at West Coast Relays.

Saturday's meet at Buchanan is stocked with Central Section leaders as well as a few other elites making the trip to compete in Clovis.
Junior, who leads the state in the quarter, looks to continue her improvement beginning with Saturday's West Coast Relays.
