11th ANNUAL COLT CLASSIC (FORMERLY COUGAR CLASSIC)
Dear Coaches:
On behalf of Covina High School I would like to invite you and your team to
participate in the 11th Annual Colt Classic Track Invitational. The date of our
meet is Saturday, March 10th at our new venue, Covina District Stadium (200
W. Puente Ave. Covina, CA 91723). The meet is CIF sanctioned and will run a
CIF order of events from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.
The meet has continued to grow over the years and will offer superb early season competition. This is an excellent opportunity to get early season marks for your athletes as you prepare them for league and CIF competition.
DATE/TIME: Saturday, March 10th 2018-8:30-5:30
FOUR DIVISIONS: Boys Varsity, Girls Varsity, Boys F/S, Girls F/S
AWARDS: Colt Classic medals will be awarded to the top 6 places overall in
individual events, and to the top 3 in relay events. Also, the meet will be
scored and team championship trophies will be awarded to the top 2 schools
in each division.
FEES: $100 per team in each division or $400 for all divisions. Individuals and
smaller schools are allowed to enter at $15 per athlete.
ENTRY: Athletes will be seeded according to times and marks submitted to
www.athletic.net. 3 athletes in each sprinting event, 3 athletes in each field
event (2 in triple jump) and 3 athletes in each distance event (800, 1600,
3200) will be accepted. Entries will be due on Tuesday, March 6th at
11:59pm.

Meet Information
Bus Drop off and Parking- Bus drop off will be in the east side lane
next to the stadium. Bus parking will be at Covina High School (463
S. Hollenbeck Covina) 14 mile away.
Warm Ups- The warm up area is located in the infield. Non-
competing athletes will not be allowed to set up in the infield area.
Clerk of the Course The clerk of the course is located in the
infield. Athletes must check in 30 minutes prior to their event or
they will be scratched.
Scoring & Medals Team scoring is 10-8-6-4-2-1 for all levels and
events. Times/marks for the following heats/flights can score if
they are in the top six places overall. Medals to the top 6 overall.
Team Packets Team packets can be picked up at the finish line
upon your arrival. Payment must be made prior to competition.
Checks are payable to Covina High Track.
Spikes Please make sure all track athletes have 3/16 spikes or
less. Spikes will be checked and sold at the entrance of the
stadium.
Starting Heights Starting heights will be determined after entries
are received. Since it is an early season meet our philosophy is to
get everyone an opportunity to successfully compete.
