Elite 8 Distance Preview 2014
You are invited to participate in the Elite 8 Distance Preview to be held on March 1,2014 at Saddleback
College. Saddleback College has a beautiful 8 lane Mondo Track that is very fast. This will be the first
opportunity to establish the fitness levels of your athletes as we move into the 2014 Track and Field season.
This meet is designed to give your athletes a chance to run in distance races that are not relays and help
establish the Elite 8 distance runners for the first week of the season. The meet starts at 8:30 a.m.
Entry Fees: $7 per athlete per event ( $500 max for boys team, $500 max for girls teams).
Athletes Admission: Athletes will have their hand stamped at the Athletes check in gate. Athletes and
Coaches will be allowed to set up in the infield area. Coaches can take splits in the outer lanes of the track.
Entry Deadline: Sunday, February 23rd at 12:00 p.m. (Noon). All entry information and time schedules will
be emailed to you at the address you register with on www.episports.com. Meet information will also be
posted on www.socaltiming.com
Divisions: F/S Boys, Varsity Boys, F/S Girls, Varsity Girls
Seeding: Heats will be seeded slowest to fastest based on times entered on www.episports.com with the
last heat becoming the Elite 8 heat. (you may use 2013 times for your athletes)
Spikes: Cross Country flats or 3/16 pyramid spikes only!
Events: *400m, 800m, 1600m, 3200m
Awards: Medals will be awarded as follows:

Parking: Park near the track at Saddleback college 28000 Marguerite Pkwy, Mission Viejo, CA
Packet Pick up: Coaches will be able to pick up their packets at Coaches Registration starting at 7 a.m. on March 1,
2014, when they pay their entry fees. Please have a school check for your fees. ( we can hold a coaches personal check
until we receive the school check).
