This Week's Nominees:
Emily Bell, Rancho Cucamonga (SS) (California): A time of 17:31.40 over 3 miles was good for first in the Varsity girls race at the PR City Invitational, with 25.5 seconds separating first from second.
Isabella Ruiz, Ontario (SS) (California): Only 0.1 seconds decided the win at the PR City Invitational, where a 3 Mile clocking of 16:18.80 was enough to top a 256-runner field and take first place. The time also ranks No. 3 of 5,362 athletes in MileSplit's database at Silverlakes Sports Park since 2019, improving on a prior mark of 17:34.40 on this course by 75.6 seconds.
Belen Gonzalez, Oak Hills (SS) (California): First place at the 57th Colton Swarm Invitational came by a decisive 221.8 seconds, as a 3 Mile time of 17:54.60 paced a field of 47 finishers. That performance stands as the fastest in MileSplit's database at Colton High School since 2019.
Jasmine Moniz, Livermore (NC) (California): Covering 3 miles in 18:51.90 at the Hayward scrimmage was good for the win among 36 finishers, 44.6 seconds up on the field. It also marks 11.9 seconds faster than the prior mark on this course.
Reese Holley, JSerra Catholic (SS) (California): A time of 16:18.90 for 3 miles placed second among 256 finishers at the PR City Invitational, just a tenth of a second behind the winner. The clocking improves on a prior mark of 16:59.20 on this course by 40.3 seconds.
