Girls Performances
Zora Grant, California Athletics
Event: Girls 1500m (9 Years Old) - 5:17.41 - 1st Place
Grant captured the national title in the 9-year-old girls' 1500m, winning in 5:17.41. She closed the final lap in 1:23.79 and finished two seconds ahead of runner-up Talya Lorde.
Event: Girls 1500m (9 Years Old) - 5:27.37 - 4th Place
Farmer finished fourth in the 9-year-old girls' 1500m with a time of 5:27.37. She closed the final lap in 1:26.21 to secure a top-five finish in the national field.
Event: Girls 1500m (11 Years Old) - 5:03.82 - 6th Place
Farmer earned a sixth-place finish in the 11-year-old girls' 1500m after clocking 5:03.82. She reached 3:40.72 before closing the final portion of the race in 1:23.10.
Event: Girls Javelin (14 Years Old) - 31.11m (102-1) - 6th Place
Churchwell finished sixth in the 14-year-old girls' javelin with a best throw of 31.11 meters, or 102 feet, 1 inch. Her top mark came on her second attempt, and she also finished the competition with a 30.98-meter throw.
Event: Girls 1500m (8-Under) - 5:52.41 - 6th Place
Combest finished sixth in the 8-under girls' 1500m after running 5:52.41. She closed the final lap in 1:29.60 to secure a top-eight finish in the national field.
Boys Performances
Event: Boys High Jump (10 Years Old) - 1.35m (4-5) - 1st Place
Brass won the national title in the 10-year-old boys' high jump after clearing 1.35 meters, or 4 feet, 5 inches. He cleared each height from 1.15 meters through 1.35 meters on his first attempt to win the competition on misses.
Event: Boys 1500m (10 Years Old) - 5:03.67 - 5th Place
Shah finished fifth in the 10-year-old boys' 1500m after clocking 5:03.67. He closed his final lap in 1:20.63.
Event: Boys 1500m (10 Years Old) - 5:08.98 - 9th Place
Vanegas narrowly missed a top-eight finish in the 10-year-old boys' 1500m after running 5:08.98. He closed the final lap in 1:19.79 and finished just 0.69 seconds behind eighth place.
Event: Boys 1500m (9 Years Old) - 5:21.53 - 10th Place
Pfupajena finished 10th in the 9-year-old boys' 1500m with a time of 5:21.53. He closed the final lap in 1:23.48 and finished 2.72 seconds outside the eighth-place position.
Event: Boys 100m (9 Years Old) - 14.32 - 18th Place in Semifinals
Riley reached the semifinals of the 9-year-old boys' 100m and clocked 14.32 with a +1.1 wind. He finished 18th overall and did not advance to the eight-athlete final.
