POLL: CA Girls XC Performer of the Week (NOV 3 - 9)

Last week, Maya Hoxie of La Serna was named Performer of the Week

We'll conduct a poll every week highlighting some of California's best cross country performances.

The California Performer of the Week poll will close at 5 p.m. PST this Thursday, and the winner will be announced shortly after on MileSplit West Social media pages (Instagram, X, Facebook).

Millie Bayles (Trabuco Hills)

Millie Bayles continues to get better as the season progresses, and the South Coast League Finals are another reason why you can't underestimate her this postseason. She ran 16:32 at the South Coast League Finals, which is her fourth time running under 17 minutes this season for three miles.

Alana Clarke (Mira Costa)

One of the most competitive CIF Southern Section Leagues is the Bay League, which consists of Redondo Union and Mira Costa, both of which have been ranked nationally as a team this year. Alana Clarke has become the top runner for the Monarchs, showing her skill by finishing 16:55 to win the Bay League Finals

Marina Avila (Palm Desert)

Quietly in Coachella Valley, a super sophomore is being created to compete with the best in California in a couple of weeks. Marina Avila ran a blistering 17:08 in the three mile to win the Desert Empire League Finals with a 53-second gap.

Ella Mogannam (Lick Wilmerding)

At the BCL W/C Championships, Ella Mogannam ran 16:47 to win her second straight league cross country title. Last week, she ran the fastest 5K cross country time in California, which is perfect timing as we get closer to the State Championships.

Ariella Llorens (Francis Parker)

In the past month, Ariella Llorens has turned the gas on with impressive cross country races every week. First, she finished runner-up in the D3-5 Individual Sweepstakes at the Mt. SAC XC Invitational, and then she ran 10:41 at the UC Postal 2 Mile. Llorens capped it off by running 17:42 on a 5K cross country course to win by over a minute at the Coastal Conference Finals.
