This Week's Nominees:
Malia Rainey, Calabasas (SS) (California): Won the 100 meters in 11.41 and placed third in the 200 (23.61) at the CIF Southern Section Division Finals. Her 100 time was the fastest of 433 competitors across all divisions this week.
Kaahliyah Lacy, San Jacinto Valley Academy (SS) (California): Swept both hurdles events at the CIF Southern Section Division Finals, clocking 13.43 in the 100 hurdles and 40.91 in the 300 hurdles. Also placed third in the 100 meters with an 11.55, giving her the top weekly marks in both hurdles disciplines.
Saniah Varnado, Wilson - Long Beach (SS) (California): Posted a strong double at the CIF Southern Section Division Finals, winning the 300 hurdles in 41.27 and taking second in the 400 meters with 53.53. Her 300 hurdles time ranked second among 187 competitors this week, while her 400 was the second-fastest weekly mark.
Chiara Dailey, La Jolla (SD) (California): Dominated the distance events at the CIFSDS Division 3 Championships, winning all three races she entered. Her 3200 time of 10:15.01 was the week's fastest, while she also captured the 1600 in 4:47.44 and the 800 in 2:16.40.
Malia Strange, Shadow Hills (SS) (California): Turned in a versatile performance at the CIF Southern Section Division Finals across three events. She placed second in the triple jump with 39-7.5, took third in the long jump at 18-4.75, and won the 100 hurdles in 14.45.
