The Lowell Invitational never disappoints with great energy and fast times from the Bay Area. This year, runners took advantage of exactly that and made huge leaps in improvement from the previous year on this same course.
The most improved girl was Senya Salzmann of Nueva School, who dropped almost six minutes from last year. Salzmanm's improvement is huge and directly correlates with Nueva School's great start to the season. With her help, Nueva School finished in 4th place in the Varsity Girls' 1 race.
On the boys' side, Jackson Cox ran 19:00 to improve by 4:41 to capture the title as most improved. The senior from Mountain View went from finishing 210th last year to a respectable 125th place this year in the Non-Varsity race. The varsity Mountain View boys ended up finishing in second place overall to Clovis North.
