Day 1 action of the CIF State Track and Field Championships did not disappoint, to say the least. Among the competitive finals set up for Saturday, Jaden Jefferson and Jasir Fontenot set new California State Meet Records in their preliminary heats. Jefferson took it one step further by shattering the state record in the 100m at 10.01. The high-octane action continues Saturday at 5:45 pm PST.
