FROSH-SOPH GIRLS TO WATCH

Temescal Canyon (SS) sophomore Megan Crum leads the 1500m parade at the Vista Murrieta Winter Qualifier.

Megan Crum (Temescal Canyon/SS) - Megan, a sophomore, had the No. 5 overall qualifying mark in both the 1500 meters (4:48.61) and 3000 meters (10:35.69). Last winter, as a freshman, Crum placed fifth in the 3K (10:39.33), and seventh in the 1500 (4:55.06).
Brynn Garcia (JSerra/SS) - Brynn, a sophomore, has the No. 6 overall qualifying time in the 1500 (4:48.94) and is scheduled to run a leg on JSerra's top-qualified 4x800 meter relay team (9:33.00) along with juniors Georgia Jeanneret and Brooke O'Brien, and senior Anastasia Snodgrass. Last winter, as a freshman, Garcia placed 10th in the 1500 (4:56.08).
Christina Gray (Carson/LA) - Christina, a freshman, wasted no time putting herself on the state map as someone to watch. Here she has the No. 2 qualifying mark in the long jump (18-00.75), No. 3 time in the 60m dash (7.64) and No. 6 time in the 150m dash (18.28).
Chiara Bonomi (Cathedral Catholic/SD) - Chiara, a sophomore, is the No. 4 overall qualifier in the 3000 meters (10:31.59).
Maya DeBrouwer (La Canada/SS) - Maya, a sophomore, has the No. 2 qualifying time in the 3k (10:14.78).
Kiera Donovan (Golden Valley/SS) - Kiera, a sophomore, has the third overall qualifying mark in the shot put (37-11.00).
Rayah Rodriguez (Oaks Christian/SS) - Rayah, a freshman, has the No. 5 overall mark in the 300 meter dash (40.04), and is also scheduled to run in the 150m, as well as a leg of the top-ranked distance medley relay (12:14.34) along with sophomore Eleanor Borchard, and juniors Grace Geyer and Payton Godsey).
Madison Thai (Thousand Oaks/SS) - Madison, a sophomore, is the No. 2 qualifier in the high jump with a clearance of 5-4.
Maya Woolforde (JSerra/SS) - Maya, a freshman, comes in with the third-fastest qualifying time in the 300m (39.58) and she also qualified in the 150 (18.60).
