This chart ranks year-over-year improvement for boys in the class of 2025 on the 3-mile course at the Mt. SAC Invitational. We took their freshman times from the '21 Invite and compared them to their sophomore times run last weekend.
The initial query was for 4,000 athletes. The list was edited to remove boys who did not rank among the top 4,000 at last year's invitational, and boys who did not have times from the meet both years. Year-over-year times for the remaining boys were compared to get the list you see below.
The resulting list is 674 deep with an impressive 596 boys showing YOY improvement and just 78 running slower times. The data is dependent on accurate graduation years on athlete profiles in the MileSplit database.
