OXNARD -- Three Santa Barbara Dos Pueblos individual runners made Channel Islands High's annual Raider XC Invitational their own on Friday afternoon.

Competing at the three-mile College Park course in Oxnard, Dos Pueblos senior Phoebe Wolfe Lyons claimed the girls' varsity race in 18:41.36, the lone runner to break 19 minutes.

In the boys' varsity race that followed, Dos Pueblos sophomore Eamon Gordon finished in 15:46.71. Westlake Village Westlake's KC Barber was the only other runner in the race to go sub-16, finishing second in 15:53.66.

The boys' junior varsity event, the last of the day's six races, was also won by a Dos Pueblos runner, Luciani Koroshec, in 17:06.30. Koroshec's win keyed the Chargers' lone team title win, as the JV team finished with 21 points. Westlake was the team runner-up with 45 points.

Other individual winners were Sophie Ramirez, a freshman from Lompoc Cabrillo, winning the girls' freshman-sophomore race in 20:19.95;  Fillmore sophomore Eduardo Vigil took the boys' freshman-sophomore race in 16:37.98; and Bakersfield Foothill's Vanesa Garcia, took the girls' junior varsity title with a time of 20:40.08.

The five remaining team title winners were:

Ventura won the girls' varsity race with 44 points, followed by Dos Pueblos with 52 and Westlake was third with 68. Top runners for Ventura were Carla Nava (ninth overall, 19:42.15) and Bailey Burman (10th, 19:43.10).

Ventura also won the freshman-sophomore girls title with 34 points, led by Sophia Denzler (fourth, 20:43.23).

The boys' varsity team championship was won by Santa Barbara with 62 points. Dos Pueblos was runner-up with 69 and Westlake had 70 to take third. The top Santa Barbara runners were Blaise Snow (seventh, 16:22.76) and Cainan Birchim (ninth, 16:29.68).

Westlake won the girls' JV team title with 33 points behind the top effort of individual runner-up Virydiana Flores (22:05.17) and the freshman-sophomore boys team title with 40. The team's five scoring runners -- Mason Forrest (17:56.20), Ruvan Aluwihare (18:00.30), Connor Atkins (18:08.51), Sebastian Rothgeb (18:08.84) and Westlake Eduardo Flores (18:12.64) -- finished in a great pack, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth and 10th, respectively. 

Coming off her record-setting performance at Woodbridge a week before, Ventura sophomore Sadie Engelhardt used the course for a non-competing training run, along with several members of Ventura's highly-ranked boys team.
