Seniors dominated at the front of the race in the Northern Section Finals last November, leading the Pleasant Valley boys and Chico girls to large-school team titles. Record-setting boys champion Charlie Giannini won the individual title while also leading Chico to a State-Meet berth.
The Northern Section runs its cross country championships with one varsity race per gender, regardless of divisions. The division champions and State Meet qualifiers are sorted out after the race.
