MILESPLIT ALL-CA TRACK AND FIELD
* * *
The All-State MileSplit Senior Girls All-CA Track and Field Team was selected based primarily but not exclusively on athletes who excelled at the CIF-State Championships, rank among the top overall in the U.S., and rank among the best overall in CA.
These teams are selected by the editor and are subjective.
Marks are based on the MileSplit database. Stronger consideration is given to marks achieved at CIF and top invitationals over league meets and duals. Consistency at a high level was a factor in the determination between first- and second-team selections.
In selecting this team, every attempt is made to represent all 14 individual events.
The girls Class of 2022 produced two California records, three State Meet champions, seven State Meet runners-up, eight third-place medal winners, and 38 State Meet medals (top-six finish). Three from this class were part of a top-four finish in the fastest 1600-meter race in the history of the State Championships.
The high-end depth of this class made for challenging decisions as to cutting to a final 22-member first team. We added a second-team list here to recognize athletes who also medaled at State and/or whose season resume warranted recognition.
Athletes are listed alphabetically by last name. All references to rankings are overall unless within the class is noted.
