Georgia Jeanneret, a sophomore at JSerra (SS), won the 1500 meters in 4:49.36 and led JSerra's winning 4x800 relay team at the Arcadia Winter Championships Qualifier.

In recognition of her accomplishments, Jeanneret was voted as CA's Girls Performer of the Week for the period ending Jan. 22, receiving 60.31 percent of nearly 16,000 votes in a statewide poll. Castilleja (CC) junior Samira Kennedy was second with 24.23 percent of the vote.

(All athletes perform unattached during the unsanctioned winter track season. High school affiliations are used here for identification purposes.)

Vote for this week's CA Girls Performer of the Week based on results for the week ending Jan. 29. Voting closes Friday at 9 p.m.

There were simply too many stellar performances at the CA Winter Championships, so this week we are putting 10 gold medal winners from that meet on the line and we shall leave it up to you to select the most deserving athlete through your votes.
