This series reviewing California high school cross country runners weekly rankings on 3-mile and 5,000-meter courses nears its conclusion. A year ago this week was the 33rd CIF-State Championships on the 5K course at Woodward Park in Fresno. The rankings list below is the merge of the five division races from the Nov. 30 championship.

Division I winner Carlie Dorostkar (Patrick Corsinita photo above) leads the list. Other division champions were Alexandra Klos (D-II), Harper McClain (D-V), Riley Chamberlain (D-III) and Brooke Secreto (D-IV). 

Dorostkar, who covered the legendary course in the third-fastest time by a senior girl and seventh-fastest time ever at the State Championships, was the only senior among the division winners.

Runner-up Corie Smith, also a senior, ran the No. 9 fastest time ever in D-I.

Klos, a soccer player in her first season of running XC, posted the sixth fastest time ever by a girl in Division II.
