Now fully into November, the final month of the CIF competition schedule in 2019, our review of boys and girls 3-mile and 5K weekly leaders will continue through post-CIF competition held last December.
A year go this week, the fastest girls on 3-mile courses came out of the CIF-Southern Section Preliminary meet held on the flat Riverside City Championship Course where the top 31 times were recorded at this two-day meet.
And the fastest three girls are all back for 2020-21: MacKenzie Browne (cover photo), Tiani Goeson and Makayla Browne in a heat where the top five finishers are the same top five listed below.
MacKenzie Browne was the fastest 2023 in the state by nearly 30 seconds over Allura Markow.
