A year ago this week, Great Oak's nationally ranked boys travelled to Cary, NC for the Great American Cross Country Festival and departed a 39-point winner over Loudoun Valley (Purcellville, VA) in the elite boys Race of Champions. As the weirdness of 2020 continues to confound our boilerplate, we want to take you back to when the calendar made sense and cross country in late summer and early fall was woven into the fabric of our lives.

It will be back, as will so many other aspects of life that may have been taken just a bit for granted pre-coronavirus pandemic.

In the interim, as we prepare for a cross country season in winter and early spring, we wanted to look back to a year ago at all the amazing performances from 2019.
