We embark on a project that will highlight the top names in the Southern Section and provide us with where teams sit within each division! Clearly, with it being so early in the season, keep in mind, that the team rankings are subjective glance at the top squads. Meanwhile, we take a number of factors into consideration, much more than simply where athletes are currently situated in the rankings!
While we understand that athletes that have yet to compete in their main event, we aren't blinded by those superstars that may also show up under five or six events (and their respective relays!).
Early on, some programs favor the relay-type invites, 'hiding' some of their top talents while others prefer to get their very best out there and grab the early-season headlines! Ideally, the team rankings will provide you all with an idea of how we project the team battles to go once we hit May!
Many top-tiered athletes and programs are performing at this weekend's Redondo Nike Track Festival so expect to see some changes next week!

Trabuco Hills has been solid while there's very little that separates squads #5 through #8. We provided the top marks for the 600, 1500 and 3000 to provide you with a better idea of the endless depth in Division 1!
