Division I Girls
Carlmont will be the favorite but this will not be easy with Los Gatos, Palo Alto, Monta Vista and Homestead hot on their hills.
Division I Boys
Bellarmine will be an overwhelming favorite and the only question will be what two teams advance with them. At this point, look for Los Altos and Homestead as the next two best teams.
Division II Girls
Willow Glen and St. Francis should battle it out for the section title with Leland, Woodside, Lynbrook and Presentation among the many contenders within striking distance of a top 3 finish and an automatic qualifying spot for the state meet.
Division II Boys
St. Francis will be another overwhelming favorite this season in this division. Willow Glen and Lynbrook have been strong contenders in this division and will once again aim at a top finish here.
Division III Girls
WCAL rivals St. Ignatius and Sacred Heart Cathedral will battle for the team title here. Don't count out the Aptos girls who had a very rare underwhelming season in 2018 and will be hungry to get back on top here.
Division III Boys
As mentioned previously, the Riordan boys will pursue their first XC section title and will need to finish ahead of Saratoga and Sacred Heart Cathedral.
Division IV Girls
The Menlo girls will win their 2nd section title with a much bigger margin. The Half Moon Bay girls appear to be the 2nd best team and will need an inspired effort if they want to make this a competitive race.
Division IV Boys
The usual suspects here as King City will attempt to win another section title and stay ahead of Scotts Valley and Pacific Grove.
Division V Girls
The two best teams in this division have been Castilleja and Nueva. They have each won a section title in the past two seasons and will each be looking to capture the team title.
Division V Boys
Woodside Priory had an outstanding spring on the track oval and will be looking to capture their first section title since 2013. Crystal Springs Uplands will be chasing their 6th straight section title.
