The slow roll into the 2019 XC season shifts into another gear over the next couple weekends, but until every team has put their Super 7 on the line, we remain reliant on returning results for rankings.
The following lists are the top 100 boys and girls teams in California heading into 2019 based on returning 5K times.
The database pulls the top 5K times for each runner, scores each team based on those times, and ranks each team based on points. Senior-heavy teams in 2018 will not rank as high as teams with strong runners in the under classes. This does not factor in transfers, injuries or non-returners.
The grid for each team provides ranking order for each of the top returning boys, their 5K season best and where that ranks in the state among the top 100 teams. Also on the grid is average team time, total team time and 1-5 split time.
