BOYS ATHLETE OF THE YEAR
Andre Butt II (Carson) - The senior opened the season winning the 60-meter hurdles at the CA Winter Championships and closed with an LA City Section title in the 110 hurdles and a trip to the State Meet. But that's hardly the entirety of Butt's resume. He placed 2nd in the section in the 200 meters and was a key member of the winning 4x100 relay team. IN the 110s, he ran his PR of 14.17 in placing 3rd at the Mt. SAC Relays and he ran his second-fastest time, 14.24, at State Prelims to earn a lane for the Saturday night final where her ran 14.67 for 8th. (Jeffrey Parenti photo)
