GIRLS ATHLETE OF THE YEAR
Caroline Garrett (Oakland Technical) - The junior is a two-time former section champion at 800m and 1600m who put her focus toward the end of the season on the 3200. And, in keeping with the trend, she won the section title, running 10:59.47. Eight days later, Garrett ran a PR 10:46.77 for 18th at the State Meet final in a 29-runner field.
