FUTURE IS BRIGHT
In addition to the four non-seniors mentioned previously in this article, here are other non-seniors to watch for in 2019:

At the Northern Section finals, junior Logan Blair (Willows) and sophomore Dante Jackson (Pleasant Valley) swapped titles in the sprints. Blair beat Jackson in the 100m, 11.17-11.33. Jackson came back to take the 200m, 22.49-22.63. Blair went on to run a 10.99 PR at the State prelims.
In continuing the theme, the class of 2019 was also responsible for producing section champions in the 400m -- Jayden Gordon (Foothill Palo Cedro) 50.08 -- and the 800m -- CJ Duncan (Wheatland) 1:57.68. Duncan then ran a 1:57.28 PR at the State prelims. Those were his only two sub-2 minute 800s of the season.
Sophomore Alisha McFall (Yreka) won the 100m (12.68) and was 2nd in the 200m (27.10).
