La Costa Canyon almost suffered a serious setback in its hopes for a team title. Reidman fell right before the finish line and teammate Brown, right behind her, hesitated before finishing. "Should I have helped her?" she asked as Riedman appeared OK. If she had, both of them would have been disqualified. Instead, LCC finished 1-2-3-7-12 and is looking to make a run for the state title.
