In a recent interview Claremont High junior, Kori Carter was asked what her favorite track event was.........her reply, "Anything with hurdles!" This past weekend at the Pomona-Pitzer Invite she reached one of her goals in the 400 hurdles.
"Breaking 60 seconds has been a goal of mine for a long time so to finally accomplish this was amazing," said Carter about her 59.59 finish.
Carter got out quick and finished strong, "This time for me was a huge step, but I know I can't be satisfied, I have to keep pushing to progress towards that all elusive perfect race."
With more goals to reach, Carter will have a chance this weekend as she will be racing in the 400 hurdles at Arcadia and will be heading to the Penn Relays in 2 weeks.
