CANDIDATES
Jaelyn Williams (Eastlake)
A final mile of 4:58 in the Division 1 girls race not only earned Jaelyn Williams the individual title but also the third-fastest time in Woodward Park history. Her time of 16:28 is only behind Summer Wilson (2025 CIF State XC) and Sadie Engelhardt (2024 Clovis XC Invite).
Summer Wilson (Irvine)
In the Division 2 girls race, Summer Wilson broke the CIF State XC Championships meet record and the Woodward Park course record. Wilson's 16:20 broke Sadie Engelhardt's record, which she set last year at the Clovis XC Invitational.
Gretchen Yakaitis (Carondelet)
Last season, Gretchen Yakaitis finished 70th at the CIF State XC Championships, but this year was completely different in the Division 3 race. Yakaitis clocked in at 17:09 to win the D3 individual title by competing at the front with the division's top runners.
Chiara Dailey (La Jolla)
History was made in the Division 4 race as Chiara Dailey won her third straight individual title, becoming the 11th girl in history to earn three titles. This year, she finished in 16:52, winning by an impressive 28 seconds.
Ella Mogannam (Lick Wilmerding)
Ella Mogonnam set a new Division 5 meet record at the CIF State XC Championships with a remarkable victory last weekend. She finished with a time of 16:52, beating the previous record held by Jordan Hasay by 13 seconds.
