In the NBA, you have King James aka LeBron James. In California track, you have King Joe, aka Joseph Anderson Upland (SS). At the 2016 state meet, Anderson won the 110m hurdles with a time of 13.59. He finished in 5th place in the 300 meter hurdles in a time of 37.78. This year, he was determined to surpass those marks and win both hurdle titles. In his first event, Anderson motored away from the field to establish a new best of 13.33. The only question was if it was wind legal and indeed it was a new California record in the event. Anderson next turned his attention to the intermediate hurdles and he left no doubt about the best hurdler in California as he established a new best of 36.02 for the double victory. A great way to end the career of one of the best hurdlers in California history.
