Young stars are rising in California XC this season. After running 18:41 last year as a freshman at Woodbridge, Sylvia Cruz-Albrecht torches the field in 17:05. The sophomore took the Red B race by almost thirty seconds. To make her performance even more impressive, that time would have been in contention for a top 10 finish last year in the girls Sweepstakes race.
