Three 2018s ran behind winner Shae Anderson (Norco/SS), who won in 52.91 and is now running for the University of Oregon. But 2018s Tierra Robinson-Jones (Bishop O'Dowd/NC) 53.24 was 2nd with Medley (El Toro/SS) 3rd in 53.32 and Alexis Surrell (Newark Memorial/NC) was 5th in 54.23.

Two 2018s have dominated the top of the podium for the last two seasons, with Alyssa Brewer (California/NC) a two-time champion and Cathilyn McIntosh (Del Oro/SJ) a two-time runner-up. Brewer won in 2:07.07 with McIntosh next in 2:07.62. Another 2018, Mari Friedman (Santa Cruz/CC) was 4th in 2:09.08.

Four of the top five in this event return, including two in the 2019 class. Leading the then-sophomore medalists was winner Claudia Lane (Malibu/SS) whose 10:07.33 was a definitive victory over runner-up and 2018 Maddy Denner (Oak Ridge/SJ) in 10:19.18. Davis was again the winner with a best of 42-11.75 (2.4) but four of the other five on the podium are back, including three 2018s and one 2019. Current senior Kali Hatcher (St. Mary's College HS/NC) was 2nd at 41-01.25, 2018 Allanah Lee (Castro Valley/NC) was 3rd in 40-11.50 and classmate Micah Fulton (Muir/SS) was 4th at 40-094.75. 2019 Anneke Moersdorf (San Luis Obispo/SS) was 6th at 39-08.50.

A senior-dominated event led by the 14-00 winning clearance of Rachel Baxter (Anaheim Canyon/SS) included tow 2019s on the ends of the medals stand. Laurel Wong (Santa Catalina/CC) and Elizabeth Funk (Clovis West/CS) both cleared 12-06 and placed 5th and 6th, respectively.

Seniors Ashley Anumba (Los Osos/SS) and Amaechi went 1-2 (177-08 and 177-00) but the other four on the medals stand were non-seniors, including three 2018s. Erica Grotegeer (Wheatland/NS) was 3rd at 167-09, 2019 Jocelynn Budwig (Fowler/CS) was 4th 162-10, Felicia Crenshaw (Costa Mesa/SS) was 5th at 156-08 and Hall was 6th at 150-03.
