Expect Fast Times (Again) at Dana Hills

A super fast course, great competition, and a gorgeous, picturesque setting - what more could you want from a September invitational meet? The Dana Hills Invitational provides all of those things, plus it stands as a transition meet of sorts for the Southern Section. This is arguably the last weekend of the early season, and one of the few remaining meets that separates athletes by grade level rather than into Farsity, JV, and Frosh/Soph. October brings more intense competition and tougher courses for many SoCal teams, and November brings high-stakes championship meets, but Dana Hills expemplifies the kind of exciting, fast, low-pressure racing that has always been a part of September in the Southern Section.

This meet also brings a bit of intriguing mystery: will the best teams load up their top 7 in the Invitational Section (or maybe just put a few individuals there), or will they spread them out among their division's grade-level races? We'll do our best to forecast that race plus take an overall look at each division on the following slides!
