Every year, we try to subjectively evaluate the top teams and individuals in California under the banner of the Flo50 rankings (25 boys and 25 girls). That's a tough job under any circumstances, but it's even harder in the preseason before anybody has run any races of significance. I'll do my best, though, using returning times from the 2016 fall season (especially the state meet) and also from the 2017 spring season. The top 10 individuals were laid out by Albert Caruana earlier this summer, and I already counted down the top 25 teams over the last month, but everything is gathered here and completed for your viewing enjoyment.
