The path to the CIF State Meet begins this weekend for athletes and teams in the Southern Section. On Saturday, teams from each division will meet at 4 separate locations in the first of three consecutive elimination rounds that will eventually determine the 6 advancers to Fresno. The top 9 finishers in each division from this first round will move on to finals next weekend at Cerritos College, and from there the top 9 overall will advance to Masters.
We're previewing the start of the CIF championship season by running separate virtual meets for each division. You can see the base reports on the following slides, but you can do much more than that with our Virtual Meets function! If you click on the Full Report link for any division, you can then manipulate the virtual meet: you can remove athletes from events they don't intend to contest, add other athletes, and then see the effects on the team scores.
NOTES:
- Virtual meets use season bests, not qualifying marks from league meets.
- These virtual meets may not match the actual entries, where athletes have chosen not to compete in a particular race. I have tried to identify those cases, but I'm sure I missed some. Let me know if you see something that needs adjusting!
