Week 3 produced some really exciting performances, but nobody seemed excited enough to vote much! Maybe everybody thought the winners were so obvious that they didn't need to? If so, then people weren't paying enough attention to a particular performance up in Northern California. While Claudia Lane was tearing up Woodbridge and setting the #1 time in the state at 16:16, freshman Isabella Fauria ran 17:38 at Newhall Park. While that time ranks only 52nd in California in absolute terms, the Lynbrook Sports course converter says it's the equivalent of a 16:29 at Woodbridge. Fauria won by 6 seconds over last year's Division 3 runner-up Cassidy Haskell, and by 16 seconds over Sophia Castiglioni. You might not consider that better than Lane's race, but you have to admit it's in the conversation!
