Can Great Oak (CA) defend their title in the 4x1,600m Relay Invitational?
4x100m Relay Invitational
US #6 ranked, 41.10 performer Chaminade (CA) will face a tough challenge from the Michael Norman-led Vista Murrieta (CA) team that has raced US #13, 41.42.
4x800m Relay Invitational
Nordhoff (CA) is the latest squad under the 7:50 barrier with their US #4 7:49.61 clocking. Other top national leaders in this field are US #6 (7:51.25) Centennial (NV) and US #9 (7:53.68) James Logan (CA). Watch out for McQueen (NV), led by US #1 1:50.75 performer Connor Ross and 4:15 miler Kai Benedict.
4x1,600m Relay Invitational
With US #1 1:50.75 800m runner Connor Ross and 4:15 miler Kai Benedict, McQueen (NV) looks to make a clean sweep of the distance relays. Defending champions Great Oak (CA) will lead the charge from the home state, led by 4:08 miler Issac Cortes.
4x200m Relay Invitational
US #4, 1:25.60 performers Vista Murrieta (CA) enters as the prohibitive favorite. They are the only non-California or Texas squad to break 1:27 this season and have US #1 200m runner Michael Norman on the anchor, who has raced 20.72 this year.
4x400m Relay Invitational
Watch for Mount Vernon (NY) to make a statement versus the West Coast squads, with US #1 ranked Rai Benjamin on the anchor. The New York squad has not raced since clocking 3:21.75 indoors; California's top-ranked Notre Dame (CA) has run 3:17.84 this season.
4x110m Shuttle Hurdle Relay Invitational
Defending champions Brophy College Prep (AZ) return three athletes from last year's squad, including Isaiah Oliver, who is a top contender in the decathlon this weekend.
800 Sprint Medley Invitational
Expect Connor Ross to be a workhorse this weekend. The McQueen (NV) star is ranked US #1 in the 800m with his 1:50.25 and will look to use that strength to lead his squad to the win. Rai Benjamin will be in the hunt for Mount Vernon (NY) and expect a strong rally from the state's best sprinters in Chaminade (CA).
1,600 Sprint Medley Invitational
US #1 Los Alamitos (CA) has raced 3:28.34 this year, but if Centennial (NV) can keep it close, they have US #12-ranked, 1:53.31 performer Dajour Braxton on the anchor.
Distance Medley Invitational
The nation's top two ranked teams in Bonita, CA (US #1 10:19.85) and Granite Bay, CA (US #2 10:20.89) will face a loaded field that is bound to produce a new nation-leading performance. Davis (UT) is a dangerous squad that knows how to perform on the big stage, as they raced to victory in the 4x800m (7:42.19) and runner-up honors in the 4x1 Mile (17:11.44) at New Balance Nationals Indoor in March.
