Arcadia Invitational Boys Preview

Distance

Connor Ross (McQueen, NV) won the Stanford Invitational 800m in a US #1 time of 1:50.75 last weekend.

800m Run Invitational

Can Connor Ross (McQueen, NV) lower his US #1 time in the 800m? The 1:50.75 has the target on his back but a slew of top challengers could potentially spur the senior to his first sub-1:50 clocking. State runner-up Conner Morello (Clovis, CA) will be in the running with a PR of 1:51.05. Carlos Villarreal (Rio Rico, AZ) is dropping down in distance after making his 3,200m debut in stunning fashion last weekend (US #5 8:59.09) and hitting a 4:12 Mile to win the Chandler Rotary Invitational earlier this season.

Mile Invitational

Dajour Braxton (Centennial, NV) is the nation's No. 4 ranked Miler at 4:10.61; can he lead a group under 4:10? The senior will be pushed by a stellar field that includes the 3k nation-leader in Kai Benedict (McQueen, NV), who has raced 4:15 this year, and William Ernst (San Luis Obispo, CA), who has raced 4:12 this season.

3,200m Invitational

Arcadia is renowned for producing a record number of sub-8:50 and sub-9 minute clockings and 2015 will be no different. Robert Brandt (Loyola, CA) leads the nation in the event with his 8:56.09 clocking at the Redondo Nike Festival, but he will face US #1, 4:06 miler Austin Tamagno (Brea Olinda, CA), NBN Indoors 5k and Simplot Games 3,200m Champion Elijah Armstrong (Pocatello, ID), as well as top returnee Jesse Reiser (McHenry, IL), who ran 8:54 here last year.
