Albert Caruana's boys and girls cross country teams at Crystal Springs Uplands School in the Central Coast Section won both titles in Division V at the CIF-State Championships in late November, a first in any sport at CSUS and the only program to sweep the titles this XC season.
We chat with the esteemed Coach Caruana - also a longtime contributor to MileSplit - about this past cross country season and his team's amazing accomplishment. We also talk track and 49ers football in this zoom interview.
