Freshman Chiara Dailey, in her first cross country race for La Jolla High, won the Varsity Girls 3-Mile race on an increasingly warm morning at the Canyon Crest Academy Ravens Invitational.
Her time of 17:07.20 over the campus layout, set a Freshman Class course record and fell just short of the course record of 17:05.99 set by Mallory Asis of Mira Mesa in 2021.
Junior Kirra Fisk made it a 1-2 finish for La Jolla as she crossed in 17:23.00 to hold off La Costa Canyon junior Gioana Lopizzo (17:26.80).
