Welcome to the 43rd running of the Asics Clovis Invitational! It is our desire to provide you and your athletes a high quality invitational with some of the best competition that California has to offer. Our invitational is run on the 5K California state meet course at Woodward Park in Fresno. Many teams with state meet aspirations come to the Asics Clovis Invitational to allow their runners to experience the course before the State Championships in November. Because of this, the meet provides some great mid-season competition!

We will again have a Championship race for our elite teams. Due to the number of schools that want to run in our Championship race, final determination on which teams will compete in this division will be determined after the entry deadline. We will have 4 varsity divisions based on your schools 2021-2022 CBEDS (not 2022-2023). Out-of-state schools will be based on 9-12 co-ed enrollment according to your states Department of Education website. Enrollment cut-offs for divisions Sm through XL will be established based upon the sizes of the 175 schools that sign up and register athletes. Divisional cutoffs for Sm, Med, Lg, XL, and Championship races will be posted at www.clovisxc.com on or about Tuesday October 4th.

COST . . . $5.00 per bus or car entrance fee.

HOST . . . CLOVIS HIGH SCHOOL

COURSE . . .5,000 meters.

We are very proud to offer the same course as the California State Championships. The surface is a mixture of soft and hard dirt, grass, asphalt and hills. Temperatures in October can reach into the 90s before noon. Plan and hydrate your athletes accordingly.

11:20 a.m. Division S and M Freshman/Sophomore Boys

11:40 a.m. Division S, M, and Lg JV Boys (no championship schools)

12:00 p.m. All Divisions Freshman/Sophomore Girls

12:25 p.m. All Divisions JV Girls

12:55 p.m. Division XL school and Championship school Junior Varsity Boys

1:20 p.m. Division XL and Lg Freshman/Sophomore Boys

DIVISIONAL Placement for the ASICS Clovis XC Invitational will be decided on or about October 4th, 2022. We will base the divisions on the sizes of the schools that register for the meet according to 2021-2022 CBEDS, not on CIF divisional placement.
