Meet Information
We are pleased to have the East Bakersfield Invitational at Lake Ming back this year! Back and better than ever with chip timing! This long standing, fast and mostly flat, race takes you around scenic Lake Ming, into the campground for a nice uphill treat before bringing you back to the lake for an exciting sprint finish.
This is always a fun course for the runners to test their all out skills with a good chance of starting the year off with a PR. There will be concessions at this event so please make sure to tell your athletes!
Update: Possible course change this year to make it a bit more challenging in the last mile!
It will be held on Saturday, September 4th, 2021 (Labor Day Weekend) beginning with the first race at 9:00 am.
Race 1 Frosh/soph Girls: 9:00 (7 runners, 9-10 grade only)
Race 2 Frosh/soph Boys: 9:25 (7 runners, 9-10 grade only)
Race 3 Junior Varsity Girls: 9:50 (unlimited runners)
Race 4 Junior Varsity Boys: 10:15 (unlimited runners)
Race 5 Varsity Girls: 10:45 limit is (7 runners)
Race 6 Varsity Boys: 11:15 limit is (7 runners)
Please beware that race times may vary slightly and make sure your runners listen for start announcements. We will make every effort to stay as close to the scheduled starting times as possible.
